On 14th October 2008 NoDPI.Org is calling for an international “No Click” day as a protest against aggressive behavioural advertising and tracking technologies. We are calling on all users of the web not to click on a single advertising banner for the entire day or longer until some of the major players (Google, Microsoft, Amazon etc.) start to join the fight against Phorm and other behavioural advertising companies. If no-one clicks on an ad banner for the entire day, the loss of revenue for these companies will be significant in what are already difficult economic times. So pass the word around - No Clicks on October 14th.
