The BadPhorm Acceptable Use Policy

BadPhorm, like many similar websites, requires that its users adhere to a certain standard of conduct in order to ensure the site remains open and available to all users. These rules are mostly common sense; please take the time to read them and ensure you understand them before contributing to the BadPhorm website.

Submitted News Articles

• All submitted news articles are the responsibility of the author. News articles posted are subject to moderation and may be edited for style, content or clarity before posting. Articles which are, in our opinion, obviously libellous or inadequately substantiated will be rejected. However BadPhorm does not undertake to fact-check articles submitted by users prior to their publication and can accept no responsibility for the accuracy or otherwise of user submitted content.
• BadPhorm reserves the right to edit or remove any news posting at any time and for any reason.
• Copyright in all news postings remains with the author. By submitting your article to BadPhorm you are acknowledging that you are the original author of the article and that you consent to its publication on the BadPhorm website.
• Please do not copy & paste entire articles from other news sites. This is a breach of copyright and doing so will result in your article being edited or rejected. By all means include a small excerpt and a link to the original article instead.

Forum Postings

• Postings to the BadPhorm forums are not subject to moderator approval in the same way news articles are. You accept sole responsibility for any and all content you post to a forum. Please think before posting and do not post offensive, libellous or malicious material to the forums.
• Users may report any post they believe to be in breach of this AUP or otherwise in need of administrative attention by using the 'report' button available at the top right of each posting. Reported posts will be reviewed and action taken if necessary.
• All relevant commercial affiliations must be fully disclosed in each and every posting made to the BadPhorm forums. 'Revelvant commercial affiliations' include but are not necessarily limited to - those working in any capacity, including as consultants or contractors for an organisation involved in behavioural advertising, those holding significant investments in any such company, persons involved in the development or deployment of DPI systems or any persons involved in the regulatory oversight process (ie. anyone working for the Government, ICO, BERR etc. on behavioural advertising or RIPA-related issues). This has been introduced to safeguard the integrity of the BadPhorm forums from those seeking to use the anti-phomr campaign to gain commercial advatage over a competitor. Anyone failing to comply with this requirement will be banned from posting on BadPhorm and will have any verified commercial affiliations posted publically on BadPhorm.
• Spam (unsolicited advertising) is not welcome here. Those posting such material will have thier accounts deleted, their IP address or netblock banned and thier service provider's abuse team contacted.
• The posting of material or links to material which is either illegal under UK or US law or in the opinion of a site administrator likely to cause offence to the majority of BadPhorm users is prohibited. Anyone so doing will have thier account deleted and their internet service provider contacted if appropriate.
• Please try to stay on-topic for the forum you are posting to. Off-topic postings may be moved to a more appropriate forum by an administrator.
• The use of offensive language on the forums is not permitted. Users who repeatedly do so will have their posting privileges revoked.
• The discussion of stocks & shares, share prices, investments in Phorm or any other company on these forums is prohibited. Threads posted after 14:00 on March 19th 2008 may be removed or edited by the forum moderators. Users who persistently post such threads may have their posting privileges revoked.
• Trolling (the posting of content or messages intended to deliberately provoke a strong reaction from other users) is not permitted. Those doing so will have their posting priviliges revoked.
• 'Flame wars' between forum posters are not welcome and will result in both parties posting privileges being revoked.
• BadPhorm reserves the right to remove any forum posting at any time and for any reason.
