What I'd like to do is this. For now, while BT isn't apparently running a Phorm trial I'd like to just have a warning come up on my site when BT users visit it.

Ummm why is Safari complaining about slow scripts?

OK, back to the question. Something to warn people but that won't stop them accessing the site, for now, because it's a support thing and I don't want to shut people out straight away. If BT goes ahead with this stupidity I may well just block the whole lot, after we swap to another ISP ourselves.

Seriously, what is the slow script warning? Is that the speed trap because it's really annoying.

Hi there,

you'll find lots of useful stuff on Dephormation.org.uk, including code for 'intelligent' warnings, htaccess files, and PHP code that will allow you to deny BT Group (and subsidiaries) access to your site completely.

Slow script? I don't use Safari when visiting this site and I don't have javascript enabled.

Just tested this page in Safari and saw no warnings.

Perhaps firebird2110 would like to try it again and see if it's still happening?
I did notice myself that the whole site *was* rather sluggish for a couple of days earlier in the week, but unless Jim knows otherwise I'd suspect it was just a temporary minor server problem of some sort - it's back to flying along as usual now.
