Half asleep, half awake this morning I heard Eddie Meyer on radio 4 trailing iPM...

He mentioned an article covering proposals by the Government to sell personal data to the private sector (rather than leave it on memory sticks).

In the documentary Taking Liberties, they mention that the UK Gov wants to sell the data it collects. I emailed the makers a little while back for the source of that bit but they haven't responded.
