Just moved from BT to a Wight Cable WiMax service. Only any good for people on the Isle of Wight, but I'm now getting reliable 10MBPs download speeds.

Also get 2 phone lines and free 01/02/03 calls 24/7.

The aerial on the side of the house is a bit on the ugly side, though, and the consumer unit is rather bigger than I'd imagined, but all in all I'm pretty happy so far.

Oh, and NO PHORM!

Phorm, just say NO!

Linkage; Wight Cable

I love the Isle of Wight.

Now I've got another good reason to talk my wife into moving there. :)

OT: Carisbrooke Castle has a superb English Heritage guest apartment ('The Bowling Green Apartment').

(OT) The big problem with the IW is work. IW companies seem to think they can get away with paying 20% less than the going rate for any particular job. Personally I work on the mainland. Most people go to work by car, train or bus. I go by hovercraft.

Back on topic. So far the only problem I have discovered is that CLI (Caller Line Identification) doesn't seem to work. Their account management is quite rustic, too. You have to phone up and ask for features to be enabled and disabled (like additional eMail addresses) instead of doing it online.
