In my local Tesco on Saturday, one of the staff had been assigned to try to win customers for Tesco's POTS phone service.

But when I pointed out that we had broadband bundled with ours, he said they couldn't do anything now, but to expect further developments in about 3 months.

So I asked him if Tesco had a stance on Phorm. He was flummoxed.... :-(

I'm a nonconPhormist; I won't be conned by Phorm

tesco may or may not go in for phorm... but they already have a much bigger database, linking addresses to purchases for some people.. oh and if you pay for your internet by credit card.. who needs a loyalty card to track you.

they are more than capable of serving adds for tesco only products if they want, and wipe the floor with what phorm can do.

Tesco have a very similar reverse DNS to virgin's adsl service

tesco.net are a Virgin Media reseller allegedly... if so their network is Virgin Media's network.

See press statement here

Tesco customers would need a guarantee from Tesco.net that they will not be affected by Phorm.
