Please take the time to send any complaints about the UK governments actions or inaction you have to the Commmission. Although they cannot take any direct action over the treatment of FOI requests they are taking note of any complaints made to them and it's all good background information and shows the UK government's lamentable attitude to the law and its affect on it's citizens. The more legitimate complaints we make the harder it is for the UK government to say everything is perfectly ok in their hands. The contact email is infso-b2@ec.europa.eu Pingus [ Edited Fri Nov 05 2010, 01:38PM ]

And add the Home Office to the list of obstructive departments who know have "vexatious" and "campaigning" at the very TOP of their list of refusal reasons and it is the one they now reach for FIRST even when dealing with first time questioners. Let 'em refuse it, and then send the whole shebang to Europe so they can see how UK citizens and electors are treated by those who are meant to serve them and in particular, to protect their privacy according the terms laid down in the ePrivacy Directive. And if you can get your MP to put down a written PQ, then have a go at that too. Since when did campaigning become undemocratic or "vexatious"?
